The Reimagined Living and Working Space Competition called for exciting and unique design proposals for what a living and working space might look and feel like, and how it might be experienced. Entrants were invited to depict their Reimagined Living and Working space proposal in a single artwork.
The competition provided the opportunity for architects at any phase of their career, from undergraduate students to those with decades of experience in practice, to share their work with the wider industry.
After close to 100 entries from students, designers and experienced architects, we have been treated to an impressive breadth and quality of artwork. The shortlisted entries represent unique and powerful interpretations of the competition theme, each artistically expressed providing an intimate window into the experiences and thoughts of the artists during this period. The winners will be announced in April.
Judges include 40-under-40 star Jas Bhalla of Jas Bhalla Architects, Anna Liu of Tonkin Liu, Marcos Rosello of aLL Design, Roger Ashman from Ashman Architects, Ross Hutchinson of Hutchinson & Partners, and Victoria Whenray from Conran & Partners.
Submissions were free to harness any medium and could take the form of a ‘plan, section, elevation, perspective, sketch or abstract’. The overall winner, to be announced on 12 April, will receive a £1,000 prize while a second prize of £500 and third prize of £250 will also be awarded.
