Our client is an established architectural practice based in London, specialising in beautifully crafted, site-specific designs across residential, commercial and industrial sectors. Despite being a relatively young practice, they have built a strong reputation for design quality and seamless project delivery. 


The studio has grown steadily over the past ten years and is now home to a team of 30 people. It offers a genuinely collaborative environment where creativity, open communication and effective teamwork shape every project.

Position Overview

As Studio Manager, you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth running of the studio. You'll oversee day-to-day operations, manage financial administration, coordinate HR processes and provide essential support to the leadership team. This position is crucial to maintaining an organised, safe and inspiring working environment that enables the team to focus on delivering exceptional architectural projects. You'll be the operational backbone of the practice, supporting both the creative and administrative functions that drive the studio's success.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily studio operations to maintain an organised and inspiring workspace

  • Manage studio finances including invoicing, expense tracking and accountant liaison

  • Coordinate HR processes including recruitment support and new team onboarding

  • Organise studio events such as staff socials and the annual international trip

  • Provide administrative support to leadership including diary and meeting management

  • Assist with project documentation and ensure administrative processes run smoothly

  • Maintain a safe working environment compliant with health and safety requirements


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Studio Manager or Office Manager, ideally within architecture, design or creative industries

  • Strong financial administration skills with experience managing budgets and invoicing

  • Exceptional organisational abilities with a proactive approach to multitasking

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills suited to a collaborative team

  • Proficiency in standard office software and digital tools for administrative processes

  • Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced studio environment
