Position Overview
As a Senior BIM Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in leading the practice's ongoing BIM implementation, standards development, and advancement across projects. You will provide essential support and mentorship to the design teams, ensuring the quality and accuracy of BIM models and data while coordinating and managing BIM processes and workflows.
Responsibilities
Set up Revit projects using appropriate templates
Lead the ongoing implementation of BIM standards and procedures across both studios
Establish delivery strategies to develop best practice workflows for diverse projects
Coordinate and maintain project BIM models and associated support documents in line with contractual or procedural requirements
Manage BIM deliverables and assist with project delivery
Ensure the quality and accuracy of BIM models and data
Provide ongoing training and support to architectural and interior teams in the use of BIM tools and workflows
Lead BIM Working Group meetings, agendas, and delegation of actions
Create and maintain template files to assure standards
Create Revit families in response to project needs and set standards for visual appearance of BIM output
Requirements
2-3 years of experience in a BIM coordinator role in an architecture practice
3-5 years of relevant BIM experience on complex, large-scale design projects
Strong understanding of the BIM process and proven experience in BIM project coordination
3-5 years of experience using Revit, with extensive problem-solving skills on technical issues
At least 2 years of experience in Navisworks and Enscape
Experience understanding client's requirements (e.g., EIR, AIR) and developing BIM documentation (e.g., BEP, RM)
Experience implementing Revit Standards and content, including its long-term management
Clear and approachable communication skills with a commitment to supporting design teams
Proficiency in Autodesk Construction Cloud, Dynamo, and other technology software packages is an advantage
