Position Overview
As Project Architect, you'll take ownership of larger residential and commercial schemes, guiding them through technical design stages and beyond. Your role will be central to delivering high-quality drawing packages, managing consultant coordination and maintaining strong client relationships. You'll work closely with a small, agile team where your technical expertise and design input will directly shape the outcome of each project. This position offers genuine responsibility and the chance to influence the direction of varied and engaging work.
Responsibilities
Lead residential and commercial projects through RIBA Stage 3 and subsequent stages
Develop comprehensive technical drawing packages and specifications compliant with UK building regulations
Manage consultant coordination and maintain clear communication across project teams
Build and sustain relationships with clients, contractors and local planning authorities
Contribute to design development through collaborative studio working
Prepare and submit planning applications with supporting documentation
Oversee technical delivery ensuring accuracy, quality and attention to detail
Requirements
ARB registration with demonstrable experience leading residential or commercial projects
Proven ability to manage projects through technical design and delivery stages
Advanced proficiency in Revit for technical documentation and coordination
Strong understanding of UK building regulations and planning processes
Excellent communication skills for managing client and consultant relationships
Ability to work effectively within a small, fast-paced studio environment
Collaborative mindset with enthusiasm for problem-solving and design innovation
