Our client is seeking a Part 2 / newly qualified architect to join their successful residential design studio in Waterloo. The Position
This is an exciting opportunity for a Part 2 architectural assistant / recently qualified architect with a strong ‘design eye’. You will have the chance to work on residential projects with a focus on high-quality design. Project size is wide ranging from small mews properties and one-off apartments/penthouses to large apartment buildings / mixed-use schemes £1 – 20 million construction value. Working at all RIBA stages, you must demonstrate excellent design ability including detail and technical design and delivery, as well as strong graphic skills such as 3D design, InDesign, Photoshop and SketchUp. You should also have excellent communication skills, be confident and approachable, and a strong team player. You will have the opportunity to participate in CPD seminars, take part in in-house software training, receive financial support for RIBA Part 3 course fees, as well as additional study leave for professional exams.
Requirements
Minimum of 2-3 years’ practice experience
Strong design ability, including experience of detail / technical design and delivery
Excellent graphic skills and 3D design ability
Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, SketchUp (or similar) and have appropriate rendering competencies
Experience of AutoCAD and Revit advantageous
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Confident, approachable and a strong team player
