Position Overview
As a Part 2 Architectural Assistant, you'll support project teams across all RIBA stages, with particular focus on post-planning and delivery phases. You'll work under the guidance of senior architects to produce technical drawings, models and construction documentation. Your contributions will directly impact project delivery, helping to translate design concepts into buildable solutions across complex, high-profile developments.
Responsibilities
Produce architectural drawings, models and technical information under senior team guidance
Develop and refine layouts, sections, elevations and construction details
Create technical drawings including wall and floor build-ups and construction specifications
Use Revit to produce coordinated, accurate project information across multiple disciplines
Prepare presentation materials for client meetings, planning submissions and internal reviews
Coordinate consultant information and integrate into project drawings
Assist with planning, tender and construction packages
Support site information gathering, respond to drawing queries and manage updates
Contribute to design development, material research and studio-wide projects
Requirements
Part 2 architectural qualification or equivalent practical experience
Minimum two years' experience working in an architecture practice
Proficiency in Revit or equivalent BIM software
Strong understanding of construction details, wall and floor build-ups
Knowledge of building regulations and construction techniques
Ability to prepare, develop and edit drawings, models and design documentation
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to evaluate multiple solutions
Lateral and forward-thinking approach with composure under pressure
Right to work in the UK
