Position Overview

As Associate Architect - Healthcare, you'll lead design and technical delivery across healthcare projects from concept through completion, taking ownership of key packages and workstreams. You'll act as a primary client contact, supporting presentations and stakeholder engagement whilst coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams to ensure integrated, compliant design solutions. This role combines strategic project leadership with hands-on technical delivery, allowing you to shape healthcare environments that are safe, functional and uplifting whilst contributing to the practice's continued success and growth.


Responsibilities

  • Lead packages or workstreams within healthcare projects, taking ownership of deliverables and coordination across all RIBA stages and managing appropriate teams

  • Contribute to design quality, technical compliance and programme alignment from feasibility through construction delivery

  • Collaborate with directors and project teams to ensure client satisfaction, commercial performance and overall project success

  • Act as key client contact, supporting presentations, design workshops and stakeholder engagement throughout project lifecycles

  • Utilise BIM modelling in Revit and champion best practice in digital delivery, coordination and information management


Requirements

  • Proven experience in the healthcare sector with strong understanding of HTM/HBN guidance, Building Regulations and healthcare compliance frameworks

  • Demonstrable experience leading projects across multiple RIBA stages from concept through delivery and completion

  • Proven ability to manage and mentor project teams including architects, assistants and consultants

  • Strong client-facing experience with confidence leading meetings, presenting design proposals and managing stakeholder expectations
