Position Overview
As an Architect, you'll develop architectural designs and solutions for a varied project portfolio, from conception through to delivery. You'll prepare detailed design proposals, technical drawings and specifications, working closely with internal teams and external consultants to ensure projects are delivered successfully. Your role will contribute directly to the studio's mission of enhancing the built environment through thoughtful, sustainable design that respects planning regulations and heritage guidelines.
Responsibilities
Develop architectural designs and solutions for new builds, retrofits, extensions and sensitive heritage projects
Prepare and present design proposals, technical drawings and detailed specifications to clients and stakeholders
Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure successful project delivery
Ensure all designs comply with UK building regulations and heritage guidelines
Contribute to design reviews and participate in wider architectural discussions within the studio
Communicate design ideas clearly to colleagues and external partners
Requirements
ARB registered qualified Architect
Proven experience in designing and delivering projects including new builds, retrofits and extensions
Strong understanding of UK planning regulations, building codes and heritage conservation requirements
Proficiency in relevant software including MIcrtostation and/or Revit
Excellent design and visualisation skills with ability to produce high-quality drawings and presentations
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team and communicate design concepts clearly
Strong knowledge of sustainable design principles
Must have valid work visa and not require any sponsorship in the future.
