CENTRAL LONDON - £50k-£60k

Have you ever thought to move client side to work with a developer but perhaps lack the delivery experience? We have an opportunity where you can transfer from practice to client side whilst still being heavily involved in design. The key is that you should have a lot of planning experience. This includes preparing and submitting pre-applications and full planning applications for a number of projects of varying sizes and scopes.

The developer’s core focus is to redefine and create communities that provide co-working, living, commerce and leisure spaces that are designed to motivate collaboration and galvanise productivity. With an incredibly talented and growing team, unrivalled technology and expert advisors and investors, our client is determined to become the leader of the pack in their field.

You will need to be an ARB registered architect with extensive planning experience. Over the course of the year, you may be involved in preparing and submitting up to 30 planning applications for heritage and listed buildings, of course some for very small and minor amendments whereas others will be more large scale. You will, however, work mostly with one council in a prominent location in North London. The planning applications will be for part of a larger masterplan that has developed for a complete overhaul of a very well-known and bustling London location. The area is surrounded by predominantly open food and retail markets as well as cafes, restaurants, events venues commercial offices with a good number of the surrounding buildings being of significant historic interest. As such, planning experience with retail, leisure or commercial buildings would be beneficial however, planning experience with mixed-use developments would also be considered.

You must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously including budgets, time schedules and consultants. You should be confident in your ability to work independently as well as have experience managing and delegating tasks to a small team. Working directly for the client, you will also be responsible for liaising and overseeing a renowned architecture studio who has been appointed to deliver the various projects, ensuring design intent is adhered to and delivered on time and to budget.
