Central London, £46k - £55k

Following several recent exciting project wins, this multi award-winning, AJ 100 practice has a wonderful opportunity for a forward-thinking, design-driven and technically astute Senior to Associate Architect to join their team. They have multiple offices around the UK but you would be joining their growing London team of circa 20. This is a critical role for the business as they expand their London presence.

Whilst it’s difficult to say exactly what projects you might be working on due to the varied number currently in progress, as a starting point, you will be involved with a £20-£70m mixed-use office scheme. Currently at stage 2 and rapidly moving into stage 3, the role requires you to be technically very competent with extensive experience during RIBA stages 2-4. Since the majority of their projects are multi-unit London projects, you will need to be familiar with large-scale developments within constrained urban sites. Excellent presentation, communication, coordination and technical skills with Revit proficiency are a must.

Other projects include a multi-million pound development where you will be in a client monitoring role (CMT). This will be working directly for a contractor albeit under the guise of the architectural business you are working with. This would be a great foray into a technical coordination position. Otherwise they have some very interesting change of use projects including a shopping mall being converted into a life-science laboratory amongst many others.

For the right individual, this opportunity comes with a very clear path to associate and leadership. Alongside the opportunity to work on varied, high-quality and interesting projects with a very talented and collaborative team, this practice will invest in your progress considerably and provide you with ample opportunity to contribute.

You will be encouraged to help shape the growth of the London practice as they continue to rapidly grown. From training and mentoring to wellbeing and CSR, you will benefit significantly from a culture that fosters collaboration, creativity and impact. Their commitment to environmental and social-value is unquestionable, starting within the practice and running through each of their projects. There will also be plenty of opportunities to get involved in various CSR initiatives. For example, many team members volunteer for wildlife and green causes, raise money for the arts and coach youth sport. Teams have also invested hours doing pro-bono design work for charities. Whatever your passions, you will find like-minded colleagues who will encourage and inspire you.

Did we mention their dedication to creativity and impact? Yes, they have a track record of getting their designs built and fostering new and innovative design and construction methods to make a real tangible and purposeful impact.
