CLERKENWELL, £48k-£55k

Do you have an ambition to one day become a Director and to even run your own architectural practice? If the answer is yes, this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss.

Our client is looking for an experienced, talented, and enthusiastic architect with private residential experience in London to quickly progress into a leadership position within their small but growing team. You will be responsible for leading the studio and running multiple projects independently, with supportive guidance and direction from the Director. Your position, willingness, and capability to assume responsibility is essential in enabling the Director to dedicate more time to grow the practice with bigger and better projects and meet their strategic vision for growth. Alongside delivering exceptional, design-led projects working with ideal clients, they also want to ensure that all their team are continuously inspired and professionally fulfilled whilst also being rewarded both financially and intrinsically.

Currently the value of projects hover around £1m-£2m but their focus is to secure more projects in value of £4m+. They work predominantly with discerning private clients often in the financial industries and are in a fortunate position where they are presently turning away work and hand-picking projects that best align with their approach and positioning. They also have a longer-term ambition to diversify their portfolio over the coming years. They evidently have big ambitions, but you need only meet the Director and team to feel instantly inspired and excited about the future of this practice. Furthermore, the Director wants this person to one day become the owner of the business and so, this really is a rare opportunity with plenty of career progression opportunities for the right person.

Their work is grounded in their love of old buildings and thoughtful and uncomplicated approach to delivering high-quality custom residential and heritage projects. They are both brilliantly design-led and pragmatic with a strong passion for identifying, preserving, and enriching everything that is already beautiful and complementing each project with exemplary interventions that are more befitting to current and future generations.

For this position, you will need to be self-motivated and confident with an ability to make key decisions and solve problems in a calm and considered manner.
