ENERGETIC PART-TIME OFFICE ASSISTANT FOR AWARD-WINNING DESIGN STUDIO

Clerkenwell, 20-25hrs per week, £21k-£25k pro-rata

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-profile, creative team in their beautiful studio based in Clerkenwell. This nature inspired architecture studio has been designing and delivering highly acclaimed buildings, landscapes, and sculptures for just over 20 years. They pride themselves on their unique design methodology which has seen them win 20 RIBA prizes, two prestigious Stephen Lawrence Prizes and multiple competition wins including amongst others, the York Minster Centre of Excellence, a Civic-Scale Artwork in Sunderland, and Grosvenor Square Gardens, a holistic entity integrating architecture, art, infrastructure, and landscape.


As an office assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, day-to-day running of the studio and providing valuable support to this wonderfully vibrant team of 10. Alongside supporting the team, you will be working closely with both the Practice Manager and Press and Marketing Manager.


This will be a busy but rewarding role with lots of opportunity to grow and develop, perfect for someone proactive who enjoys variety and taking initiative.


Responsibilities

  • PA Support: providing assistance to the two Directors, including: booking travel, scheduling appointments and meetings, assisting with building management such as insurance renewals and utility contracts.

  • Facilities Management: Ensure the smooth running and tidy presentation of the office, ordering office supplies, organising repairs and maintenance including fire safety, filing and archiving.

  • HR Support: Assisting with recruitment process, manage cv inbox, providing inductions to new starters, managing staff records and timesheets, organising staff training, CPD’s, appraisals and staff socials, maintaining office policies and Health and Safety, general pastoral care.

  • Studio Co-ordination: Holding weekly roundtable meetings, scheduling meetings, and welcoming guests, managing mail enquiries inbox, screening telephone calls, assisting with IT issues and set-up. You will also be required to assist the Practice Manager and Press and Marketing Manager.

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Organised

  • Proactive work-ethic

  • Positive, helpful, can-do attitude

  • 1 year + relevant/similar experience

  • Strong Mac OS proficiency and Microsoft office

  • An ability to provide IT support would be a welcome plus

  • An interest in art or design
