NEWLY QUALIFIED ARCHITECT / EXPERIENCED PART II

SOUTH EAST LONDON, UP TO £34K (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced part II or newly qualified architect to join a studio of 25. The studio is renowned for their contemporary approach to contextual design and storytelling - creating buildings that invoke a sense of belonging and living heritage. Projects range rom masterplanning and urban design both in the UK and further afield to mixed-use, regeneration and housing projects.


Located a stone’s throw from the Tate Modern, the diverse and vibrant team work collaboratively in an open and friendly studio environment to generate designs and exchange research and knowledge ensuring each project benefits from the creative talents of the team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to gain hands on experience in a wide array of projects from housing and commercial to masterplanning and civic landmarks.

Your initial project will, amongst others, include a large residential masterplan currently at stage 4 and due to progress to stage 5 in six months. You will also be involved in early feasibility and planning of various other projects in the studio.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience working in large-scale residential projects in the UK (40+ units)

  • Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations

  • Experience during RIBA Stage 3, 4 and 5

  • Experience producing tender packages

  • Experience responding to RFIs and construction detailing

  • Proficient in Revit/BIM

  • Excellent spoken and written English

The studio offers annual performance based bonus’ and standard 20 days holiday + bank holidays as well as additional paid time-off during the Christmas closing period. Should you need to balance personal obligations and responsibilities, the studio offers flexible working arrangements to support your needs whilst balancing them with the needs of the wider team to ensure fairness and transparency. Furthermore, they also offer time in lieu for rare periods of intensive or concentrated overtime often due to major submission deadlines however, overtime is not encouraged and all project leads do their best at all times to manage projects and minimise overtime.
