Peckham, Up to £43k

Job Reference: 330428

We're looking for a talented Architect with job running experience. If you've reached the point of wanting to search for a new outlook and perspective, then this could be the role for you. This fun and intimate practice of 8 formed in 2017 have big and exciting plans with proven experience to back them. Both founders honed their skills with renowned creative design companies where they were instrumental in the design and delivery of numerous design-led, large and complex projects. Now, they are making their own mark on the industry utilising their experience and ambition alongside their agile team of superb designers to build something truly awesome. The studio works on a wide range of diverse projects and as such, this is an opportunity for fast learners that enjoy keeping busy and tackling new challenges to certainly be kept on their toes and very quickly develop professionally. We can assure you that this is not a role you will ever get bored in! Whilst predominantly their work consists of developer-led residential projects, these projects are topped up with an eclectic mix of retail spaces, workspaces, master-planning, public-realm and even yacht projects! Their projects don’t just stop in the UK, although only 5 years in, they have a number of international projects too. More recent projects include the completion of 30 flats across a four-storey's in Hackney and having secured planning consent in January for a 100% affordable housing project in Lewisham, they are now delivering this project through construction stage. I should add that there are numerous other projects in the mix too which they can explain at interview.

In this role, you will be working on multiple projects, always one where you are more heavily involved with, but you will also be assisting on other smaller projects at various stages of design and delivery. As such, experience and desire to work in a small team environment is essential. This isn’t a role where you will be pigeon-holed into specialising in only one sector or particular stages of any project, you will be designing as much as you will be delivering. An all-rounder or someone that’s keen to develop into an all-rounder with the company is essential. You will be working directly with clients and all stakeholders and so, confidence, interpersonal skills and coordination skills are just as important as your ability to design and deliver superb buildings. In essence, you will be wearing many different hats and so, this position is ideal for someone that enjoys exposure and involvement in all aspects of architecture and even the business of architecture.

Here, you can expect to gain as much responsibility as you are willing to take. The founders progressed very quickly in their previous practices and they are keen to give their team the exact same opportunity as they had. As long as you demonstrate your potential, capabilities and willingness, there are no limits. You will be fully supported along the way but at the same time, they need someone that is capable of taking their own initiative, is proactive and fast-thinking, and enjoys working autonomously as much as working as part of a team.

If you’re someone that prefers a big team environment, perhaps this might not be the best role for you, however, if you prefer the all-in-it together vibe, the one that feels like a family and everyone is working towards the same successful outcome, one that cares about one another’s well-being and development, is willing to share knowledge and learn from superb architects, this could well be the place for you.
