Are you an organised and proactive HR & Studio Manager that’s experienced in working with creatives? We have a wonderful opportunity for a lively and personable studio manager with HR experience to join a fantastic architectural practice composed of 25 highly talented designers and architects. Recognised for their superb design across a diverse range of prestigious projects, this young and vibrant studio is regularly featured in major publications with several awards to their name.
This is a central role within the practice where you will be responsible for creating and up-keeping an engaging, fun and supportive environment conducive to the professional development and fulfilment of all staff. Working closely with the Directors, this is an exciting opportunity to really make a difference. As well as HR, you will also be responsible for ensuring all administrative processes, resources and day-to-day activities run smoothly. Alongside excellent communication, coordination and people skills, an interest in the world of architecture and design would be a welcome advantage.
Day-to-day running of the studio: support with answering calls, greeting visitors, ensuring the office is tidy and upholding recycling initiatives, overseeing facilities maintenance and repairs, checking and ordering stationery and supplies, look after samples library, manage and ensure staff complete timesheets.
Administration: organise filing, process invoices, manage post, manage expenses, prepare and review contracts including utilities, insurance and lease agreements, review and action health & safety policies, ISO quality procedures and various workplace policies and procedures.
Diary Management: Support staff and directors with diary management and organising various meetings, travel, and accommodation.
Training & Development: help to create career progression plans, manage, schedule and coordinate annual staff reviews, CPDs and various internal and external training
HR: review and introduce beneficial employee perks and incentives, review and prepare offer letters, employment contracts, staff handbook, manage recruitment, coordinate and manage staff inductions and reviews, manage holidays, guide and assist with disciplinary procedures and exit interviews.
Support: supporting project teams, directors, and department heads in delivering objectives and overall company goals.

At least 2 years’ experience as an Office Manager working within a medium-sized company
A degree in HR or similar is highly advantageous
Excellent communication, organisational and coordination skills
Good attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written English
Ability to prioritise tasks and activities
Proactive and enthusiastic nature
Confident in engaging and requesting relevant information or support from others
Ability to use your own initiative to anticipate and meet the various needs of the business
