A practice that has honed their renown for crafting beautifully considered projects for the last ten years is looking for an architect to join the team. You should have at least 2 years’ post part three experience on either commercial fit-out or high-end residential projects.
They work across two main sectors, commercial fit-out and high-end residential and in the past worked on some education projects too. The beauty of this practice is that they are able to give their employees a good range of projects to work on across the stages. Year on year the split between high-end residential and commercial projects is about 50:50, although 2022 was a little more focussed on high-end residential.
Current projects include a commercial fir-out project in Hammersmith which is at feasibility stages analysing whether a change of use or retro-fit (commercial) would be the best course of action to get the best return on a developers investment.
They also have a commercial project about to kick off in More London, a stone’s throw from the Major’s office. In both cases, the clients are very committed to seeing the projects through all the way to completion, in fact it’s a must! They have other historic projects in the commercial fit out sector at differing stages across London. They also have some beautifully designed and crafted high-end residential projects in Blackheath and Tonbridge Wells at present which you will be involved. They are a mixture of refurbishment and new build with a construction value of a minimum of a million pounds and often more.
Since they are a boutique practice you can expect to get a lot of exposure to all stages, clients, consultancies and contractors. You will be involved in all aspects of design, planning, tender stages and delivery. This really is a role for someone with a positive can do attitude.
