Position Overview
As an Urban Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping urban spaces that align with the practice's commitment to placemaking and social values. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an open-plan studio environment, engaging with communities to understand their needs and incorporate them into your design proposals. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on projects while supporting the practice's dedication to the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the design and development of urban spaces, ensuring alignment with placemaking principles
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an open-plan studio environment
Engage with communities to understand their needs and incorporate social values into design proposals
Support the practice's commitment to sustainability and the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge
Take on significant responsibilities within a non-hierarchical team structure
Requirements
Degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, Architecture, or Landscape Architecture
Experience in preparing design and access statements and planning application documents
Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork and community engagement
A demonstrable passion for sustainable design and placemaking principles
