Position Overview

As an Urban Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping urban spaces that align with the practice's commitment to placemaking and social values. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an open-plan studio environment, engaging with communities to understand their needs and incorporate them into your design proposals. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on projects while supporting the practice's dedication to the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of urban spaces, ensuring alignment with placemaking principles

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an open-plan studio environment

• Engage with communities to understand their needs and incorporate social values into design proposals

• Support the practice's commitment to sustainability and the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge

• Take on significant responsibilities within a non-hierarchical team structure

Requirements

• Degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, Architecture, or Landscape Architecture

• Experience in preparing design and access statements and planning application documents

• Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork and community engagement

• A demonstrable passion for sustainable design and placemaking principles
