This leading architecture practice is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Architect & Compliance Lead to join their London team. With your expertise in technical delivery and building regulations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the practice's projects meet the highest standards of compliance and excellence.
Position Overview
As the Senior Technical Architect & Compliance Lead, you will provide technical and compliance leadership across the practice's diverse portfolio of projects ranging from developer-led high-profile residential projects to mixed-use, hospitality and corporate workplaces in the UK. You will mentor teams on building regulations, lead technical documentation and specifications, and oversee internal compliance processes. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring the practice meets the regulations under the Building Safety Act.
Responsibilities
Provide technical and compliance leadership across projects
Mentor teams on building regulations through CPD learning and workshops
Lead the technical documentation and specifications of projects
Oversee internal technical compliance and processes for Building Regulations
Provide on-site expertise and maintain CSCS qualification
Co-lead Risk Management Working Groups with Partners and Associates
Prepare internal design, technical and regulatory compliance reviews
Communicate changes to regulations and their impact on projects
Prepare documentation packages and detailed specifications on projects
Be an ambassador for good design, technical excellence and safe practices
Requirements
Registered Architect or technician with 5+ years' post-qualification experience on UK projects
Proven experience in technical delivery and site services
Detailed knowledge of the Building Safety Act and Approved Documents
Proficiency in Revit, NBS Chorus, Microsoft Office and CMap
Willingness to take exam to join RIBA's Principal Designer Register
Ability to present and defend work from a technical perspective
Commitment to continuous professional development in regulations and compliance
