Position Overview
As a Senior Architect, you will play a crucial role in overseeing project running, providing technical expertise, and acting as a sounding board for the team. This position offers a potential pathway to becoming a Associate and in time Director, allowing you to shape the practice's technical competencies and drive process improvements. You will be passionate about regulatory details and site visit processes, ensuring the highest standards of design quality and technical proficiency across projects.
Responsibilities
Manage and run projects, potentially leading project architects and providing leadership in technical aspects of architectural work
Provide in-depth technical expertise and act as a sounding board for the team, championing technical excellence within the practice
Oversee regulatory compliance, site visit processes, and technical details to ensure the highest standards of design quality and craftsmanship
Contribute to process improvement initiatives, helping to streamline workflows and enhance overall efficiency
Collaborate with project teams to deliver thoughtful, joyful, and environmentally conscious buildings that exceed client expectations
Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development
Requirements
Qualified architect with a strong technical background and a passion for regulatory details and process management
Proven experience in managing and running architectural projects, with a track record of delivering high-end residential buildings of all types.
In-depth knowledge of architectural regulations, site visit processes, and technical best practices
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide and mentor project teams
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to process improvement
Commitment to sustainable and environmentally conscious design principles
Vectorworks a plus but not a must, full trinawing given to those with other software
