Our client, a highly regarded architecture practice based in Waterloo, has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Architect with exceptional creative problem-solving abilities and a dexterity across the Education, Arts, Culture, Workplace, and Heritage sectors. Position Overview
This Senior Architect role comes with the responsibility to lead and effectively manage project teams across ambitious projects across cultural and heritage sectors. You will navigate the project lifecycle -from tendering to construction, ensuring key milestones are met. Your central role will be pivotal to the company's ongoing success in delivering designs that are not just aesthetically pleasing, but also environmentally responsible and beneficial to the local community. Success in this role offers an exciting opportunity to progress to Associate level, playing an instrumental role in the strategic direction and growth of the practice as part of the management team.
Responsibilities
Managing project teams, stakeholders, and consultants while ensuring deadlines are met
Creating and reviewing technical details and drawing information packages for tender and construction
Providing site inspections and managing projects during the construction stage
Fostering strong client relationships and leading presentations
Upholding risk, quality, and best practice guidelines throughout all projects
Helping junior team members with their personal development within the practice
Assisting with bid submissions and procuring new work as required
Requirements
A minimum of 8+ years post-qualification experience
Broad experience across all RIBA work stages
Excellent design skills, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving abilities
High level of skill in detailing and production of construction information
Knowledge of appointment and building contract forms and their application
Familiarity with UK Building Regulations, safety requirements, and industry standards
Ideally, experience in Revit and Conservation accreditation but this is not essential.
