Position Overview
As the Associate Architect, you will be responsible for reimagining an existing building within a conservation area, with a strong focus on sustainability and design quality. You will lead the coordination, detailing, and oversee interiors, including reception and end-of-trip facilities, while driving technical delivery through to completion. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact within a fast-paced, collaborative studio environment.
Responsibilities
Lead the retrofit and extension of a high-profile workplace project, taking ownership of the design and delivery across all stages
Coordinate and detail the project, ensuring a strong focus on sustainability and design quality
Oversee interiors, including reception and end-of-trip facilities
Drive technical delivery through to completion within a fast-paced, collaborative studio environment
Collaborate with a growing team, currently nine members, moving to eleven
Work within a conservation area, applying expertise in retrofit and conservation
Requirements
Solid experience delivering projects in the UK, with a clear understanding of UK building regulations and technical detailing
Strong retrofit and conservation area knowledge
Confidence leading a project team and working independently with minimal oversight
Exposure to interior architecture, particularly on workplace or high-end commercial projects
Excellent communication and team leadership skills
