Responsibilities
As the Associate Architect, you will play a crucial role in repurposing a historically significant power station into an innovative residential and academic complex. This project, with a strong focus on sustainability, aims to integrate Passivhaus principles and achieve carbon neutrality upon its completion next year. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing the project, currently underway on-site, to successful completion.
Building and maintaining strong and healthy relationships with clients, contractors, and consultants throughout the project.
Addressing project complexities and issues confidently as they arise on-site, ensuring smooth project execution.
Coordinating and overseeing the production and communication of information at various project phases.
Contributing to the professional development of the internal team through leadership and effective coordination.
Ensuring ambitious project objectives and goals are successfully achieved.
Requirements
Demonstrable experience in successfully delivering high-quality, commercially-led projects valued at £40m+.
Prior experience with sensitive building conversions/remodelling at a grand scale (university and high-quality residential experience preferable)
Effective project management experience with a strong track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to ambitious goals and objectives.
A solid understanding of sustainability principles and their application in architectural realisation.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire and contribute to the continuous development of more junior memebers of the team.
