We have a rare opportunity to join one of London’s leading independent high-end residential contractors, working alongside some of the city’s most ambitious and visionary architecture and design studios.

You will have seen their projects in Hampstead and St John’s Wood, Mayfair and Chelsea, and pretty much every prime London postcode in between, ranging from jaw-dropping new-builds to beautifully restored heritage properties, with plenty of awards to their name.

They’re now looking for an experienced high-end residential delivery Architect with exceptional delivery experience to join the team.

Position Overview

As Delivery Architect, you'll play a central role in a substantial and architecturally ambitious scheme in a conservation area. The project involves redeveloping a site into a beautiful private residence with two coach houses, valued at approximately £10m. Originally designed by a highly regarded architectural practice, the scheme has been novated under a Design & Build contract. You'll develop detailed construction information, coordinate across the multidisciplinary team, and spend significant time on site resolving details as construction progresses. Over time, the role will evolve into broader project coordination and management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce detailed Stage 4 and Stage 5 construction information in AutoCAD

• Coordinate technical design across the multidisciplinary consultant team

• Support the project through the construction phase with hands-on involvement

• Resolve construction details and technical issues as they arise on site

• Liaise with contractors, consultants and the client team throughout delivery

• Attend regular site meetings and provide technical guidance to the construction team

• Review contractor submissions and ensure compliance with design intent

• Contribute to the overall running and realisation of the project

Requirements

• Strong experience in RIBA Stage 4 and Stage 5 detailed design and construction information

• Proficiency in AutoCAD for producing technical drawings and construction documentation

• Solid technical knowledge and understanding of construction detailing

• Experience working on high-quality residential or similar projects

• Comfortable spending time on site and resolving issues in real-time

• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise across different parties

• Pragmatic approach to problem-solving during construction

• Personable and collaborative working style

Our client is a specialist high-end construction company approaching 30 years in the industry. They focus exclusively on award-winning residential and commercial projects across London, with contract values ranging from £3m to £12m. Working with some of the country's best design-led architects, they've built a strong reputation for meticulous attention to detail and exacting standards. With an in-house 12,000 sq ft joinery workshop, they control quality by producing all joinery internally. The team of 80 includes 10 office-based professionals ranging from project managers and quantity surveyors to administrative support. The majority of their work comes from repeat clients and negotiated tenders, reflecting long-standing relationships built on trust and quality delivery.

Benefits

• Competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000
