Comprising a dedicated team of 15 professionals, including in-house contractors, project managers, interior designers, and quantity surveyors, the company excels in seamlessly blending old and new elements, integrating cutting-edge technologies with creative space planning. Responsibilities

As Head of Architecture, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's architectural endeavours with your design flair and leadership. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their vision, desires, and needs, fostering strong and lasting relationships. You will serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring that their aspirations are realised in each project.

  • Design Leadership: Take full responsibility for design concepts, local authority approvals, and project coordination. Your creative vision will drive the evolution of luxury residential design.

  • Department Management: Oversee and manage the architectural department, serving as the backbone that feeds work to the entire business. You will ensure efficiency, productivity, and innovation, as well as the seamless execution of projects.

  • Team Development: Manage, inspire, and contribute to the professional development of a talented team of architects and designers, cultivating their potential while achieving collective success.

  • Design Excellence: Bring a unique design flair and personality to a wide range of challenges, consistently exceeding client expectations, and upholding the highest standards of quality and innovation.

  • Quality Assurance: Audit designs to identify inconsistencies, discrepancies, and missing information, and meticulously record, report, and close out these items to maintain project integrity.

  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively within the multi-faceted business, interfacing with project managers, cost consultants, interior designers, and sub-contractors, fostering a harmonious and efficient project ecosystem.

  • Relationship Building: Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders, ensuring that the practice's reputation for excellence and client satisfaction continues to thrive.

  • Project Management: Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget through seamless project management, upholding the practice's commitment to exceeding client expectations.


Requirements

The ideal candidate possesses the following skills and qualifications:

  • A degree in architecture and ARB registered Architect status

  • Proven experience in UK luxury residential architecture across RIBA work stages 0-7 with a strong portfolio of successful projects accumulated over 10 years.

  • Extensive residential planning experience, especially within conservation areas

  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.

  • Proficiency in relevant design and project management software including AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • A passion for design innovation and a keen eye for detail.

  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written
