If you’re an energetic, articulate Part 2 Architectural Assistant or newly qualified Architect who likes to think, draw, and make, and you care about how architecture meets real life, this could be the challenge to feed your passions and nurture your growth.
The Company
This small, design-led practice is looking for someone who’s as comfortable sketching ideas on paper or an iPad as they are delivering beautifully detailed drawings. Believing that good design can be generous, joyful, and have a lasting impact on how people live, their work sits somewhere between architecture, urbanism, and activism: a place where design meets community, positive change, and playful invention.
They make things happen: housing, neighbourhoods, and prototypes for better living environments. Some are built, some are speculative, and all are driven by curiosity and conviction. They’re not content with the ordinary, and they’re looking for someone who feels the same way.
Position Overview
You’ll work closely with the directors and team from the very start of projects, shaping ideas, testing concepts, and helping turn them into buildable, enriching places. One day you might be sketching a housing masterplan by hand; the next, developing technical details for a community building or crafting diagrams that tell a story clearly and beautifully.
You’ll contribute to live projects, competitions, and speculative studies, producing drawings, models, and visuals, and helping take ideas from first sketches to planning and construction. Your input will have real weight. This is a studio where initiative is noticed and creative ownership comes early.
Requirements
Part II or Part III (or on your way there)
Strong hand-drawing and Adobe skills (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
Comfortable moving from early concepts through to technical detail
Some experience with housing, community, or mixed-use projects is ideal
Familiar with Vectorworks or SketchUp, or open to learning
Above all, curious, communicative, and eager to grow
Perks & Benefits
You’ll join a close-knit team (currently 4, growing to 6) who value good conversation, good drawings, and good food. Studio lunches are part of daily life.
The practice offers:
Hands-on creative exposure across all stages of design
Mentorship and direct collaboration with senior designers
A supportive environment that values initiative and fresh thinking
Option to work 4 days a week
Competitive salary, dependent on experience
